About the event
We will be joining our Pastor's Conference with IRBS Fall Convocation for 2023.
The Texas Area Association of Reformed Baptist Churches (TAARBC) is excited to sponsor the 5th Annual TAARBC Pastors’ Conference on September 7-8, 2023 at Heritage Baptist Church in Mansfield Texas. Even though this is a conference geared towards pastors we welcome all attendees who are interested in the subject at hand. These lectures will no doubt encourage and edify the pastor and layman alike.
Our association has determined that the theme for our Pastors’ Conference from year to year will be to cover a chapter in the 2nd London Baptist Confession of Faith. Last year we covered chapter 3 in the confession, Of God's Decree. This year each of the lectures will address chapter 4 of the confession, Of Creation.
Our featured speakers will be Rich Barcellos and Charles Rennie.
Rich Barcellos, PhD, is pastor of Grace Reformed Baptist Church, Palmdale, CA, and Associate Professor of Exegetical Theology at IRBS (International Reformed Baptist Seminary). He is author of Trinity & Creation: A Scriptural and Confessional Account and Getting the Garden Right: Adam’s Work and God’s Rest in Light of Christ.
Charles Rennie, Drs, (PhD candidate, Durham University, UK) is Assistant Professor of Systematic Theology at IRBS and a pastor at Sycamore Reformed Baptist Church in East Moline, IL. He is a graduate of Westminster Seminary California and IRBS, as well as earning a Master’s Degree from the University of St Andrews.
Beginning this year our conference will be held in conjunction with the Fall Convocation for the International Reformed Baptist Seminary. Speaking will be Dr. Jim Renihan, President and Professor of Historical Theology, IRBS.
